We received a call today to tell us that one of our long time employees, Corne Romer, had passed away. It was a sad blow for many of us who had seen a clearly very ill Corne over the last few months, who eventually was off work more than she was at work. She had been expected to return to work this coming Monday.
Corne who leaves a husband and daughter behind was a top employee, a hard worker and a friend to many who she tried to help and teach. Corne was very devoted to de Broglio Inc and to helping the firm's clients and will be missed by everyone who dealt with her. Rest in peace Corne.

Always the caregiver. Whenever there is conflicts or problems she always tried to sort it out, to make it more comfortable. She always had a smile and a greeting ready and she always help. She will be missed dearly. RIP Corne

What a beautiful person inside and out. She was so wise and always had everybody's best interests in mind. And it's true, whenever anyone was stuck she was always the first person to call. It really is so sad, but she is in a much better place now.
Some say that life is only a dream and your real life only starts once you leave Earth.
I sure hope that it is one amazing, beautiful and happy start of a new life for Corne.

Corne showed such determination and commitment to her work and despite her condition she still tried to smile every day. She will be missed by all. My condolences to her family, rest in peace

Corne had a good work ethic and was admired and trusted by many. She was always kind and helped everybody willingly and without grumbling and complaining. During her illness I always thought of her as brave and a fighter as she still carried on with a positive and hopeful attitude and never felt sorry for herself.
She will by sorely missed and I'm sure that everybody only has good memories of her.

I think everyone's comments cover a lot that can be said about Corne! Corne was wise beyond her words and definitely a loyal, hardworking small little lady! It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Cornè over the past 2.5 years. She was always eager to help when help was needed and would lend a listening ear at the drop of a hat. Her dedication to De Broglio was exemplary. She WILL BE sorely missed. My condolences to her loved ones. R.I.P my friend.

She was a fantastic person, if ever I had doubt in something I would ask Corne for advise and she was so very clued up.
She was a devoted employee to De Broglio Inc and worked very hard for it too.

Corne was always professional and had excellent people skills, something that not everyone can understand how difficult this is. She didn't just pacify clients, she resolved their issues and turned situations around. Over the last few weeks she called me almost daily asking how it was going at the office and saying how she wishes she was back. I last spoke to her on Tuesday, and she told me she is looking forward to coming back on Monday. Her intentions were always for the good of the firm.

I've been there when Corne was at her worst. April last year. I would never have thought it possible that she will ever get up from her sick bed. We prayed a lot, read the Bible, watched motivational dvds, and had loooong chats. When she finally came to life, I had to sit with her for hours on end after a hectic day - she wanted to know EVERYTHING. She weighed 38 or 39 kg when I first saw her, maybe less. We battled to get her to eat anything at first until the cravings kicked in! I had more carrot cake during this period rhan ever before! I've seen her through her ups and downs - she was so brave! She refused to give in or give up and the company was her motivation. She lived for the day she could return to De Broglio Inc. A great friend and colleague. She will be missed dearly but she is free, free at last. Thank God Almighty, she's free at last. Enjoy your rest, peace and supreme health my dear, dear friend xx

Corne.. I couldn't believe when I heard the news this morning. One of the hardest working people I've ever come to know. Too hard if you ask me. We had some good laughs and I'm thankful for what she taught me.

The 2nd person I ever met at de Broglio was Corne for my interview. We hit it off immediately. I was lucky enough to get the position, no doubt thanks to Corne. She soon became my mentor and a friend. She was a fantastic person to gain knowledge from. A force to be reckoned with when it came to her work and her dedication to her work.
She was a valued and respected member of the team who contributed in many ways. Her professional achievements were outstanding. She was always thoughtful and considerate towards her colleagues.
She will be sorely missed.
