Some fruits are better than others

We all know that eating fruit is good for us, but new research indicated some fruits are better than others. Apparently, also eating a greater variety of fruits reduces the risk of Type 2 diabetes. The fruits that reduce your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes are grapes, apples and grapefruit and the best of all – blueberries. Having the fruit juices itself actually increases the risk – one would assume due to the sugar level but once again the research is showing that it is better for you to eat the fruit than to drink the juice. Fruits that were tested, but which showed no significant advantages included strawberries, oranges, plums, peaches and apricots. So make sure you have a lot more blueberries, grapes, apples and grapefruit!

Not only are fruits delicious, they are also very convenient to eat. Fruits are low in calories and packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals.

I love fruits and it's also healthy. Doesn't matter which group they fall under I believe each fruit is good for something. I am honestly not going to leave apricots, which I love more than any other fruit because it falls in another group.

Strawberries, as you stated, which have no beneficial characteristics. Are on the other hand excellent and simple tooth whiteners or bleachers as they contain natural whitening agents.

I love my fruits but not a fun of grape fruit at all. It is rather interesting to know that fruit juice increases the risk of getting Type 2 diabetes.

I heard blueberries also help with weight-loss. I don't know how true it is though - I haven't really tried it yet

Very interesting research, very surprising that oranges are not on the top list. I enjoy my fruit, especially apples!

Very interesting read, and I actually love grapefruit, so if it's healthy I will eat it more. Apples on the other hand...... I don't mind an apple, but I wont pick it out of all the other fruits.

Luckily I eat a good variety of fruit, whether on the "good" or "not that great" lists.

That is very interesting - I know that apples are very good for you regardless - but oranges - i thought that they would provide some significance

i hate fruit, and do not touch the stuff - too sticky and sweet for me. But veggies, i can live on veggies alone. nothing like lightly steamed and still cruchy broccoli & cauliflower, with some freshly squeezed lemon juice over the top.
