This is a new space movie, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. It is beautifully shot, especially when watched in 3D, and terrifying. It does not have aliens, it is not futuristic or science fiction from that point of view, but it is just a disaster movie set in space. Apparently, scientists were called in to make sure that all of the technical aspects were correct – in other words, nothing is far-fetched or impossible and it is a superb and gripping movie. If you have any interest in space or enjoy edge of the seat thriller type movies, you would love this one. You have to see it though in 3D, that is the way it has been shot, that is the way it is intended to be seen and it is worth the extra money that 3D costs. Sandra Bullock certainly gives the performance of her lifetime, and it is no wonder that the movie has achieved exceptional high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as huge box office success so far, being the No 1 movie in America for a few weeks already.

Yes, word of mouth is a powerful tool. And i would also have to say that just by knowing that this is a sci-fi movie would have put me off automatically, but one thing that grabs my attention is how someone rates the movie, and if you have my attention, i am going to go out of my way to watch it. This is definitely on my to do list.

I read an article on the music, which the creators intended to be an extra "actor" and if that article was anything to go by it is well worth it.

The movie is excellent and feels so real as if you are yourslef in space. A must watch and it has 96% on rotten tomatoes which is a rare high score .

Sandra Bullock is also one of my fav actress along with her is Jennifer Aniston. I don't think I have ever been disappointed in any movie of Sandra so far so I will definitely watch this movie.

I have wanted to see this movie since I first saw the trailer. I have also always be a fan of Sandra Bullock - she is an extremely good actress! I enjoy these types of films if you can call them that and will without a doubt be going to see this one!

Would not even have thought twice of looking at the movie because to me looks sci-fi which I am not into, however, your write-up sounds interesting and Sandra Bullock and George Clooney are two very good actors so might just give it a try.

They tend to do that with most movies these days, they always make sure that their terminology etc is correct and the things they use is correct as well. I remember watching CSI once and what they had in there was exactly the same thing used in a Medical Defectives episode i watched. Good to know there is an effort made.
