Game console at home – Playstation or X-Box

I want to find out from you how many of you have a Playstation or an X-Box at home or some sort of game console?  Do you play it?  I have the X-Box, which is now being replaced by the X-Box One X.  It apparently has much better gaming with 4K gaming and 40% more power than any other console.  It is Microsoft of course playing the Apple game, with the every few years dramatic update.

I have to be honest and say that I’ve had my X-Box for about a year and I used it for about 2 hours altogether during that year.  My kids like it, if they get a chance to play it, but they are not particularly enthusiastic or keen about it and I don’t think it is a have to have in their lives.  I know though when I was 15 I spent a lot of time, particularly on weekends, playing computer games, sometimes all night with friends and despite all the things they say about how you will not achieve anything in your life if you play too many computer games, I seem to have done all right.  Do you have a console?  If so, what?  What games do you play – and I am not talking about games on your phone, which I think is the worst type of addiction because they are not even of the kind of quality that you can play on a big screen.  In other words, if I am going to waste time playing games, I am going to play better games, with better graphics on a dedicated machine with a big screen, like a TV, and not waste my time on my phone.

I have no idea what goes on in the gaming world. A family member of mine on the other hand is a big gamer and is always up to date with the newest products. Gaming consumes way too much of his time in my opinion and I find that people who spend too much time in virtual reality tend to lose touch with the real world.

I am not a gamer at all and have not got the first clue about any of it. The last sort of game I played was a Nintendo TV Game in the late 90's.

I am probably not the best person to comment regarding Play stations and X Box, I do not have one and I am not sure if I am really want one.
My girls are growing and yes I thing my older one - Irene would like to have one. But theses toys take a lot of the time and get very addictive though. I am worried myself to get the bad habit.

We have a PlayStation 4 at home, I don't play on it at all, however my boyfriend plays on it every now and then but my 6 year old son LOVES to be on it, I have to limit him or he would live on it. This Christmas my son asked me to please get him an X-box and Assassins Creed as he loves that game. He is currently playing star wars and loves it. Being a mom I don't even have time to do my hair less alone get to play games. I use to love playing games, especially strategy games always my favorite to play.

I have clocked games on my X-Box. I use it until I finish a game and then it sits for a while until I can get another game that interests me. I prefer X-Box to PlayStation.

I haven’t had much of an experience with an X-Box before but I have had endless amounts of fun playing PlayStation! I have heard that the games on the PS4 are better than those of X-Box not sure how true that is!

We have the X-Box one at home. The only game that seems to get played on it is FIFA when there are a whole bunch of soccer fanatics at my house. I recently saw the game SIMS for the X-Box which is probably the only game I would consider playing.

Definitely car racing games. We have the XBox 360. I enjoy Forza a lot and when I start I have to force myself to go to bed. These days I don't even look at the games because I have my hand full with the little one. My husband on the other hand is an addict he enjoy games where he has to complete missions like Far Cry, GTA, Red Redemption, Assassin's Creed to name a few . He also love to play tennis, rugby and FIFA, of course he is a bad losers so you can just imagine the entertainment I get from watching him... When my sisters kids come over we put on the kinect and this can keep them busy for hours and what's nice about the kinect is that you are active and have a lot of fun and while jumping around or doing moves pictures are taken and at the end of the game it show the pictures takes, quite entertaining.

I played PlayStation and X-Box and I really liked both of them. I like to play Bike and Car games. I know when I was younger me and my sister had a SingStar and Dancing game. We could not wait to get home just to play the games. It was so much fun.

I do not play games at all. To be honest I think people who play games are wasting their time. But if you are a person who enjoys it by all mean. Not all people are the same and everyone have different types of entertainment and ways to relax.

I remember growing up and playing playstation. My husband had one when we just started dating about 9 years ago and I must say that the games for these consoles are so expensive. One can pay up to R1000 for one game and end up playing it for a month and never look at it again. I don't think it's worth it at the end of the day. We recently gave it away to a family in need as we weren't using it at all.

We have a Playstation at home and it's so much fun just to relax and have a good time. The game that I enjoy the most is Gran Turismo and Need for Speed.

We have a X box at home, I don't feel the need to update it to the Xbox one or one x as yet, I usually only play when I'm bored and have nothing better to do. I enjoy playing Bioshock which is a video game series I love each and every one as the graphics are amazing and the story line is awesome! I also enjoy Dead Island which is also pretty cool.

I use to always play on the PS when I was younger but I just don't have time these days. My boyfriend has both, however the Xbox gathers dust. He is always on his Playstation 4 and just finished Assassins Creed Origin which looked like a game that I would play. The graphics are incredible! Origins is definitely legendary. I prefer the playstation over the xbox simply due to the controller. I do not like the xbox controllers. Its possibly due to the fact that I am not use to the controller and know the PS controller really well. The question definitely is should you buy the PS4 Pro or wait for the Xbox One X? Game changer... Literally!

I previously had an XBOX 360, which I played a handful of times, and eventually sold it as it was just gathering dust! My sister has a PS4 and plays it for a crazy amount of hours at a time, no console is ever wasted on her and she thoroughly enjoys her time spent playing. Having these gaming consoles really makes birthday and Christmas presents easy, a few games and you're done with your shopping :)

My child has a XBox 360 and recently due to black Friday has just go the PS4 which he loves playing on. If I do play, I play Ratchet and Clank which is fun, but am not a huge gamer to be honest. PS 4 now offers more than just gaming which is nice as before it offered nothing further to that...and you can connect everything to both, from Netflix to YouTube and anything else one desires

We have a Playstation and our number one game is FIFA! We often host tournaments - it can become quite comptetive and sometimes there is a prize on the line!

The graphics of FIFA 2018 are astounding and they are up to date with all signings and team changes.

'E-games' have become a global phenomenon and gamers can make millions after winning a tournament! Competitive gaming is really taking the world by storm.

We have a Playstation 4 at home, and usually only play when we really don't have anything to do, on rainy Friday nights etc. We only have a few games because we don't play that often, but a game that I found extremely interesting, is Until Dawn, it is an interactive drama survival game, where the butterfly effect forces you to make decisions in the game, and each decision has a different outcome. At the end of each chapter you then see a psychiatrist that also asks you questions about your personality which will then change the next chapter based on how you answer. I haven't yet finished the game but definitely on my to do list when I have the extra time. We then obviously have the normal Call of Duty and Need for speed which every guy I think loves.
