The final episode of the latest season of Game of Thrones set a new series record when it was shown in America. The previous record for a season finale for the show was 7,1 million viewers and this episode was seen by 8,1 million viewers in America. That was particularly good because it was up against the NBA Finals and of course many people now watch programmes on DVR and other systems later. By way of comparison, the opening show of the season, two weeks after it has premiered, had already been watched by 18 million people – showing that in fact the majority of people now watch a programme after its first broadcast and the numbers go up considerably after that. Game of Thrones is already the most viewed show in the history of HBO. The final episode killed off lots of characters and had some fairly shocking moments and I would love to hear from those of you who watched it.

I love this series so much. Once you have gotten through the first season you get enough of it.

I haven't watched any of this season except a half hour of one episode.... but I do definitely want to watch it, must get it or watch the repeats, if they even do repeats of such popular shows, they should, they have rubbish like The Goldbergs on permanent repeat

I was so disappointed to see .... die! (Don't want to spoil it in case the not so die hard fans haven't watched the final episode). Perhaps he will be resurrected? My favourite character is still Khaleesi and if they ever kill her off I don't think I could take it! I don't like when the show gets weird with supernatural creatures like ice zombies, tree faces and the like but other than that I absolutely love the show! For me this season had a lot of twists and turns and was quite brutal. It was particularly interesting to see what happened to Cersei as she did her walk of shame as well as little Arya not being so little anymore and who could forget Stannis allowing his daughter to be burnt alive! Can't wait for season 6!

I was extremely thrilled when Joffrey died. I do admit that my memory needs to be refreshed of what else shocked me in the show though. Definitely one of my favorite shows ever.
