Trump will lose

In 2016 I wrote quite a lot about the elections and I saw Donald as a very real threat to Hillary Clinton for a long time.  I would not have written about it as much as I did if I did not see him as a threat.  His win was unexpected, but not the massive shock that he makes out – it is never really a shock in a 2 horse race if the lesser favourite of the two horses wins.

I think that those who think he is going to repeat it again because he has some magical powers are making two mistakes.  Firstly, it is clear that his business skills have really been overrated – as many have said, it appears that he plays a businessman on TV as opposed to actually ever being a successful businessman.  If he had simply invested his father’s money that he inherited in the S&P Index Fund, the main Stock market index that investors follow, he would have made more money than he is worth now – and that is not a compliment.  That would be 7% or 8% a year and most people who run their own businesses do not make only 7% or 8% a year over the long run.  There would be no benefit to running private businesses if you could only match what the Stock Market could do – you would then just put your money into shares and sit at home and do no work.  So, the whole superstar businessman story is total nonsense.  I am not saying he is not a brilliant marketer and has convinced many people that he is a star businessman, but that is marketing as opposed to being the brilliant businessman.

The other mistake I think they are making is that people are tired of the division that he has brought.  They are tired of his lack of empathy for people and all of that has been very well illustrated during the whole Covid-19 issue.  The fact of the matter is America has not done well in dealing with Covid-19 and largely it has been because of the leadership of Donald Trump, a man who even after getting Covid-19 still mocks masks and says they are not really effective.  One wonders how many people have died, while listening to the President of America, who really just talks nonsense either to appeal to his base or perhaps, mistakenly, because he is just not very bright and has not studied any of the signs.  In that regard, he is surrounded by top scientists but he has replaced the advice of Dr Fauci with a radiologist. So, right now, the President of America is advised, when it comes to viruses, not by a doctor who specialises in viruses but by a person who specialises in reading X-rays!

Knowing the outcome now, I'm sure Trump wishes he had done certain things differently. I personally think the man is a bigot and sexist, but despite how I feel about him, I still think he was a better president than Biden will ever be. So lets see what happens now.

Trump was never worried about covid and mostly he didn't care and I think that was the cause of him loosing the elections because he kept telling people that the is no such thing as the covid, until he had it.

It was quite interesting to see that Trump had actually a lot of supporters, my social media was full of haters for people who were voting for Biden. I can't wait to see the changes Joe will make to America, hopefully all goods things.

This was a very accurate predication - but considering the decisions that Trump has made it is definitely no surprise that he lost the election.

I agree with Luchell, Donald Trump will never accept that Biden actually won the elections, he is such a sore loser.

Donald Trump will never accept that Biden actually won the elections and that it was a fair election. I do however think that Biden won't stay very long.

American citizens were really stuck between a rock and a hard place regarding their choice in presidential candidates. I am, however, not surprised with Biden's win when considering Trump's response to the Black Lives Matter movement and the COVID pandemic as a whole.

Marketing and the effect it has on people is very powerful and this has definitely helped Trump in gaining support over the years. I truly believe that being successful doesn't make one a good leader and I think many Americans have realized that a change needs to occur.

I feel like Trump will win. He has many supporters. Yes he may be hard headed and insensitive but he is who is and doesn't pretend to be someone he is not. Problem is people prefer pretentious people and hear the sugar coated promises.

Donald Trump does not possess the characteristics required for the leader of a country due to his lack of empathy and compassion for his people. He makes very radical and irrational decisions. There is however a good chance that he can win the elections again as he has many people who are in favour of him.

Zindy  said:

I do agree, His lack of empathy will make him less favorable, Yes maybe he is a brilliant business man, but as you always say business involves people and by his inability to be compassionate about certain scenarios such as Covid is sad. Unfortunately some were more supsetable to getting Covid and were not strong enough to make it because of perhaps underling issues that they did not ask for that maybe he did not have. He may of brushed it off but others were not so lucky.

I agree that his management skills does not make sense to business minded people. The reality of the matter is most Americans are conservative people who does not want to share their country 's wealth with other people .As long as Trump wants to continue with policies that protects their stance, they will continue voting for him. They don't care about his business acu-man skills.

I am not a huge Trump fan. He is a businessman that saw an opportunity and took it. Whether he was equipped or not to run a country, the people decided. Whatever happens will happen. It is all a strategic play at the end of the day, which will either work for or against him.

I read an article that said "He may have won a personal battle against the coronavirus, but Donald Trump is tipped to take an absolute hammering in the US presidential election on November 3. It has been a rollercoaster week for the President, whose chaotic performance at the first presidential debate was followed by a Covid-19 diagnosis and an apparent recovery marked by theatrics. However, the polls have only been heading in one direction, and it's not pretty reading for the Republican camp. Trump's Democratic rival now leads by a massive 9.4 points, according to the Real Clear Politics national average of all major US polls. That is up from 6.3 points just seven days ago, when the first presidential debate took place."

i remember when trump came around the 1st time. some people i know very well were elated, and thought an actual businessman was going to run the show. i shook my head in horror and disbelief "can't you see he's a crook?" i said. well, i am hoping for trump this time around. i hope he continues to embarrass, humiliate, and just make a general joke of america. sometimes in life people get what they deserve, and america deserves trump. he is Tacky, Tetchy and Tiresome. he is also, as you point out, a pathetic businessman.
VOTE trump!
